The Brave is one of the first songs I wrote for my first EP Sail Home. For album four I'd like to re-record the song with a new arrangement and introduce a number of instruments to augment the Indian Raga sound that echoes throughout the song.
I really love performing The Brave and especially improvising during the last section, with my voice and using guitar loops.
In this simple acoustic recording I'm using one mic to capture how the song sounds today October 26, 2018.
If ever you come this way, over the hills
If ever you contemplate, on the wind and the trees
If ever you say my name, don't forget
To rest your head
To rest your soul
To rest your bones
So you sold your interest
I am the sun, I am the wind
So you gave away
I am the flood, I am the pain
You're no longer innocent
I am the courage, I am the Brave
(new ending lyrics)
In the Fire in your heart
In the well of your faith
In the sea of your love
You shall know from where you came
